Linux and .EXE's

I would like to know how I can view an .EXE file or extract file from an executable windows file. I am trying to extract driver for a Netgear wg511t wireless card because I want to use ndiswrapper instead of madwifi.

http://suseforums.net/index.php?showtopic=23573 -- basically says to install it with wine or try using unzip
http://i-eat-noobs.blogspot.com/2007...buntu-704.html -- says to try to extract with cabextract or unshield
