Same old story. New guy trying to mess with boot loader and really messed up everything. I had to reinstall my mandrake 9.1 to get lilo back online. I really cant afford to fdisk the windows partition... when i boot my laptop i get the lilo boot screen. From there i have options for my linux partition and my win xp also. linux works fine if selected (it boots straight from lilo) But when i select windows i get this
"windows boot
GRUB"
and nothing happens, it just sits there. I need to get rid of GRUB to where i can boot straight from lilo just like mandrake does.
Any help as to configuring the mbr or anything else is welcome and appreciated...
if you press f1 when you boot from the mandrake 1cd it will give you more options, one of which is to reinstall lilo. bit late for that now and not much use but i thought i might as well mention it for future reference.
