kvirc will not load.

I using suse 9.1 personal on a 1.g ghz amd with 256 megs of ram. I downloaded the kvirc rpm from somewhere (i forgot where) and installed via YAST rpm installer. here is the problem. After first opening kvirc, i am prompted to setup the program. then after setup is complete, it abruptly closes. when i try to open the app again, it briefly loads then closes. there is a splash screen, but it disappears before any error commands can be read. Anybody else have this problem?

I don't but did you tried to see if some rcfiles (config files) in you user dir are wrong formatted, or maybe inaccessible from the usr (like root permissions on a file that should be owned by the user).

First you should try to launch Kvirc from the console and see what's the output, to see if there's something that puts you on the good way. Maybe there's nothing. Give it a try.
