Question KRPMBuilder problems

I'm having some problems trying to build an rpm using KRPMBuilder on SUSE 9.0. I copied
the source package (the tar package) to /usr/scr/packages/SOURCES . The spec file was
created by the program and placed in /usr/src/packages/SPECS . I configured both the
SOURCES and SPECS directory locations in the settings for KRPMBuilder before trying to
build an rpm. At step five, when I select 'Start' to build the rpm I get the following error:

Building the spec file... done
Building package now...
-bb: unknown option

I left the Configure Options in step 4 blank. I didn't think I needed to specify any options. I'm
using my home directory as the temp directory. I think the option -bb means build binary but
I'm not positive. None the less, I'm not sure how to resolve this issue and I'm not able to find
any relevent FAQs or manuals on the Internet. I've Googled many times; I've searched what
used to be the home page for KRPMBuilder (there appears to be a new site in development
but not functional yet). I've even searched KDE's forums. Nothing related to KRPMBuilder.
Hopefully someone here will be able to help me.

Thanks in advance for any/all help.

"I'm having some problems trying to build an rpm using KRPMBuilder on SUSE 9.0."

I suggest that you try checkinstall. The procedure is:
./configure
make
checkinstall
