kopete crashes when I press SHIFT

Hi!

I was wondering if anybody has had success running kopete? I tried building it myself and I tried installing the deb. I've tried installing it on two different computers but I get the same result. It crashes whenever I open up a new conversation and press shift or enter.

I'm running KDE 3.2 on Debian Sid. I tried Kopete 7.3 and 7.4+cvs. It always crashes. It's a shame too since Kopete looks so cool!

Have you tried the 0.7.4 version rather than the 0.7.4-cvs, as I (assume) cvs versions are generally unstable?

I found out why it kept crashing... There is a bug in the Spellcheck plug-in. Interestingly enough, this plugin is not in .81 beta...
