konsole character set

Debian 7.8.0: konsole...
settings seem to always revert to UTF-8 when I want ISO 8859-15
How can I make konsole "remember" it's settings?

I just ran a test on my Wheezy konsole settings.

Konsole -> Settings -> Configure current profile -> Advanced. At the bottom of the panel, see Default Character encoding. Click on the Select button to the right. Select Western European -> ISO 8859-15, then click on the Apply button, then click on OK.

When I rebooted, the setting was still ISO 8859-15.

I wouldn't have posted if that scenario worked.
Maybe your're not using Debian 7.8.0, I don't know.
But consistently konsole reverts to UTF-8.
