Kmenu icons are too large on Fedora

I don't think there is a user defined option to change the size of the icons which appear to the left of each menu item, but I am trying to find out if there is a config file anywhere for KDE. The icons are too big and increase the size of the kmenu to horrendous proportions. The icons should be 16x16, but right now they are 22x22. Is there an option to display only text in the kmenu and no icons? Any ideas?
