Kmail : Outbox is not getting flushed at all

opensuse :11.1
kmail :1.9.10

When I try to send a mail, it gets stuck in the outbox.

I right clicked the outbox and clicked "Send Queued Messages", but nothing happened !

I clicked :
configure kmail -> accounts -> sending

There is a drop down box with title "Send messages in the outbox folder" with the following options :

Never automatically
On all mail checks
On manual mail checks

I tried them all nothing works !!

Kindly help !!

PS: There is no problem in receiving mails through kmail !

configure kmail -> accounts -> sending, select the account name then click on the Modify button. Fill in the account information for outgoing mail in both the General and Security pages.

Thanks for the kind reply !

I had duly filled all this information before posting this thread and also I had enabled auto email check feature.

5 hours after I posted this thread, all of a sudden kmail automatically flushed the outbox !!

I don't know what was the cause of the problem and how did it get solved ??

Regards,
anisha
