Usually you will get the latest from the official keepassxc site, but not from the official ubuntu repo. For me it was a problem, because a serious bug was fixed in the last/latest release. Use the ppa if the version from software center is ok for you.
About the plugin: it will be either automatically installed or asked during the install (because the browser should be connected to the software somehow).
Thanks pan. I'm sure the Sotware Center version would be fine but why not get the latest.
You should be fine with installing it from the SC.
However, do note that the latest version is 2.7.4 and the one from SC is 2.6.6.
See pan64's comment above.
I would advise removing the current KPXC and installing version 2.7.4 from: https://keepassxc.org/
Thanks beachboy2. I went to that page, though, and wasn't sure which was the best choice for the download. I figured it was one of those three with the arrows (attachment) but wasn't sure. Which one do you think is best? Thanks.
Thanks but those three arrows point at three different ways of downloading it. One is via this Janek Bevendorff guy, the second is thru Ubuntu packages, and the third is thru the terminal. I want to know which of those three is best.

I thought the Snap one seemed too complicated (screenshot 4). So I thought "Native" was the obvious choice (including because I'd never heard of Flatpak). (#3) But Native is not in my Software Center. (#5) So I figure it's either the one I circled in #5 or the terminal command

Code:
sudo apt install keepassxc
. What do you think is the best way to go?
PS. Sorry for making this so complicated! lol
I don't know what is the best way for you, for me the best was to download the source and build it myself.
something like this should do the job, but if you have difficulties just ask: https://snapcraft.io/install/keepassxc/ubuntu#install
