KDE menus suddenly borked

I don't know what I have done because the only change I've made to my computer is installing thunderbird (not through the repositories, but by extracting and puting into /usr/bin), but suddenly my kicker menus all have one letter highlighted in green and underlined. This is also true of all my menus within KDE like file->save, etc

Also as I do things in Konqueror, some weird error keeps making a gap between the title bar and the address bar. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'll be extremely happy.

Thanks,

I was able to solve the problem by updating the qt and qt-devel packages.
