KDE 3.3.1 Not Running (FC3)

I used Yum to update KDEBase, KDESDK, KDEWebDevel, KDELib to 3.3.1, and I can't seem to run Kwrite in any mode except Konsole, regardless of who I'm logged in as. Can someone give me a reason as to why it's not working?

Do you mean that you can launch kwrite by entering kwrite from konsole but none of your desktop links work?

In konsole enter
whereis kwrite

Mine is at /usr/bin/kwrite

Point your desktop and menu links to it if they are pointing to the wrong place.

I still can't open a text file by double-clicking, though.
