has anyone tried out openbox.I love it.very small when i installed it using apt(1 M download) and runs like a dream. The only problem comes in when i am using mozilla....it does take a while to load it and in that time i can see in my gkrellm monitor...the huge amounts of disk access it makes.
I still love it though.
I never really tried out fluxbox.maybe someone who has used both can tell me the advantages of one over the other.
Originally posted by Pwnz3r Fluxbox is pretty nice, but I haven't really found a reason to use it over GNOME. I do have it installed though, and I know you can get it looking nice and whereas I don't like a clutter of desktop icons, I do like the GNOME panels. I'd like it better if I could throw the Trash icon up there and not have to use desktop icons though.
what i do usually
*fluxbox or pekwm on slow pcs forever(gkrellmrox-filer)
*kde on new pcs, gnome is just too buggy/slow (applet XXX crashed...would you like to reload applet XXX, hell no)
