k3b slackware install

On invoking k3b version 0.12.14 for Slack 10.2 I'm told that shared libraries "libsamplerate.so.0" cannot be opened; no such file or directory. Any help will be appreciated.

another missing shared object

Now I'm being told that 'libmusicbrainz.so.4' is missing. Thanks, I'm using the same source to get it.

the source listed by lenard works fine, the 64bit version found on some other sites does not work. I also needed cxxlibs-6.0.3-i486-1.tgz to fix a libstdc++.so.6 dependancy
