K3b. Create SVCDs from SVCD AVIs.

I have been looking for a way to create SVCDs from downloaded SVCD AVI files using K3b or some other solution, but have been unsucessful so far. As it stands, I have to boot into Windows and use Nero to create the CDs. K3b claims it can only encode MPEG 1 and 2.

Is there a way to create SVCDs from SVCD AVI files?
