Is there a way to change grub.conf from windows 2000?

I have several dual boot (windows 2000 and RedHat 9) systems. Is there a way to edit /etc/grub.conf in windows2000(maybe using cygwin and mounting the linux partition)?

Thanks,
Nate

Are you trying to edit grub from windows, but grub is on the same hard-drive that Windows is on? Or are you trying to edit grub from Windows across a network? You said that you have several dual booting systems.

I want to be able to modify a local /etc/grub.conf on the linux partition from inside windows 2000. Can I mount a local linux partition in cygwin? If I can, what is the naming convention for mounting a linux partition in Windows? It probably isn't "mount /dev/hdX /some/path" maybe "mount \\physicalDriveX\ /some/path".

I have access to a LAN based KVM switch that I can use to select the OS/kernel. However, I would really like to have a method where I don't have to go through external equipment from windows to select the OS/kernel ---- the KVM switch is flaky sometimes and needs to be reset, but I don't have those permissions.

Thanks for your time,
Nate
