is there a program that can recover data lost on an iphone

my mother wanted to update her iphone and during the process something happened and all of the phone has been wiped and we don't know what to do, regular recovery tools only work with regular storage media and the iphones file structure is too advanced to the point where you can only do this with a mac

how can i recover the data if there was no backup on the computer that it was using to upgrade

I hate to say this--it goes against everything free--but I would take it to the Apple store. The whatchacallm "geniuses" might have some walled orchard tools that they can use, especially since their update crashed the phone.

If they can't recover it without recovering her personal data, I would go with frndrfoe's suggestion first, then take it to the Apple store for them to get it working again.

Hi
I have a similar problem, but with IPOD Classic.

I use my IPOD as a hard drive. Last month i just erased all the photos and documents.
The IPOD had to be restored to work again smooth.

Can any one help me telling me if there is a possibility to recover the photos and documents?

Thanks
Jorge
