If you were to give a complete description of your problem and it's symptoms I'm sure we can help you.

BTW, this forum auto-bumps posts with 0 replies... so there is no reason to attempt to bump your own posts.

sorry, but i was in a big trouble yesterday.
the problem i have faced is related to BIND package .
my box is redhat 9 .
i unistalled BIND which was installed from RPM and installed it again using source code .
but it didn't work well , so i decided to clean it and install again from RPM , but it didn't remove completely and the RPM didn't work too ,
now is there any way to repair this changes and return the system to old status ?

I haven't found a way to revert your system back......
hm... you couldn't uninstall it cleanly? from source?
what's the error message?
and when you install from RPM again, which RPM packet you're using? is it the packet from your installation Cd?
what does it mean by not working well?
couldn't finish the install? or installed but not working?
what problem?

you can force the RPM install then, maybe with nodeps, or any...
