ioctl function

Hi all,

I have been working on some code to capture images from my usb camera. Observing at some other codes, I have noticed that the ioctl function is often being used. The funny thing is when do a search for the ioctl.h in the system, i find many ioctl.h files, but I don't understand the actual implementation of the function, basically what is its purpose.

PS Im running on fedora core 3
Thank you in advance
maldini
