Installing Wine....2 diff. ways, Segmentation Fault both times.
I'm trying to install Wine......the first time I installed it as an rpm then used winetools to make a fake windows directory and then tried to start a program up......and the only output message it would give was "Segmentation Fault"
Then I uninstalled that one, compiled a new one myself and the installer at the end says that the install was bad due to a Segmentation Fault.
Any suggestions? I'm trying to install version 20030813 because I want to try to get PS 6 up and running.
Well, since you didnt bother to list a distro, kernel version, hardware specs, or anything at all relevant to your problem, probably no one will even bother to try to help.

Well sorry....dude I'm not an expert at posting problems yet.
Distro is JAMD, which is basically RH9. Kernel Version I think is 2.40.20-9, hardware specs.......like for what? tell me what hardware you need specs on and I'll try to find 'em.
