Re: Wacom bamboo pen and touch + mint 12 unusable drivers

Hi gabryzen,
Support for the Bamboo Capture (the DE) was just submitted to the kernel by Chris Bagwell. It was released October of this year after all. It should be in the 3.3 kernel's wacom.ko.
Luckily Chris backported the 3.3 kernel code to input-wacom and it is included in 0.12.0 that he released yesterday. So to get a wacom.ko usb kernel driver/module that supports your model you'll want to compile input-wacom-0.12.0. See part I. of the BambooPT HOW TO: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1515562 Note only kernels 2.6.38 and later are supported because that's when the multi-touch header (mt.h) was introduced and that is required.
This problem solved itself because the computer broke down in a non-reparable manner (would have been too costly), so I got a new one and installed Mint 14 and all my backups and there was no problem with the Bamboo whatsoever...
