Installing P2P software

Tried several time to install a variety of file sharing utilities via RPMs in Fedora 3 and failed miserably. Each time I have been greeted with something along the lines of X cannot be installed as it needs additional files, then a long list of files. I am doing this via the install packages from the GUI. Is there another way of installing that is a bit more inuitive. Or better still, is there a repository of ALL files needed to install software.

Please, nobody mention LimeWire as it needs Java, and I've spent over a week failing to install that on my system.

Hmm... X not being able to install. Do you have X installed? If you do, the problem is probably you don't have the xorg-devel files installed? And did I mention a wonderful P2P program called BitTorrent?
