installing kopete-0.7.4

when i try to compile kopete-0.7.4 on my SuSE 9.0 it compiles okay BUT
when type 'make'
i get this error msg:
linux:/home/Enigma/Documents/src/kopete-0.7.4 # make
make: *** No rule to make target `kopete/plugins/perlscript/configure.in.in', needed by `c onfigure.in'. Stop.

anyone have any clue what is goign on here?
I've used the bz2 an the tar.gz file an i get the same msg

BTW i uncompress the file :
bunzip2 kopete-0.7.4.tar.bz2
tar xvfp kopete-0.7.4.tar
and
tar -zxvf kopete-0.7.4.tar.gz

What do you mean it compiles OK? The compilation step happens after you type 'make'. Do you mean it configures OK? I presume that you ran
./configure --any-options-you-want
first?

my bad i meant it ./configured okay.. but when i got to type make i get :

I ended up going back to Gaim 0.72
but still would liek to know what is going on

You need to do cd kopete before typing make, then it will compile allright - at least that worked on my suse 8.2
