Installation Error for Red Hat 7.1


I tried installed text for red hat 7.1 and got the following error:

An error occured reading the partition table for block device SDA: The Error was:

input/ output error

plz help!!! ty

It's saying that it can't read from the first SCSI device (SDA). If you're installing onto an IDE harddisk, it shouldn't even be looking to i/o from SDA.
