Angry Install Red Hat 9, I don't get it

I hope you guys don't rip on me or anything but I have no clue on how to install RH 9. I got the CDs from a friend. I though putting the first disk in would cause it to run the install program or something but nothing happens... I also tried reading the manual online but there is so much stuff there I can't make anything out. Help a moron out.

Thanks

Your bios probably isn't set to boot to cdrom... You have to go into the advanced options in your bios (might be different in some bios's) and then change the first boot device to cdrom. You might want to look up the manual for your motherboard and look in the bios section, they will provide you with more detailed instructions...

ps Be sure to have your keep your OS hard drive as a boot device!

how do you mean nothing happens? if the CD is ok, and your bios is set to boot from the CD then there shouldn't be any problem. can you boot from any other bootable cd's... if you have any...

Yea I had to mess with the BIOS. Weird that it wasn't already set to boot like it should have been. Thank you makai.
