Inserting images in OpenOffice.org - how to prevent scaling?

This has been driving me insane - somebody please help!

When I insert an image from .png file OO.org Writer & Calc scale it to match the page width.

The image is sized to look best at 100% so I don't want it scaled but inserted as is. I can, of course, resize it from within OO.org but it loses quality and looks absolutely awful when reduced to its supposed dimensions.

How can I force OO.org to insert images as is (at 100% size) rather than have it resize them to match page/paragraph width?

I tried out some images of various sizes on my OOo 3.2 and the default is the original size (at least for pictures that fit on a page). In addition right-clicking on the image produces a menu with an item "Picture" clicking on that and then clicking on the "Type" tab allows you set the size of the image. There you find the button: "Original Size".

Is that what you want or am I misunderstanding something?
