Unhappy Init 3


Hello all.
I want install my VGA in Linux i logout with alt+ctrl+f2 and use init 3 for logout from x,but when i enter this command my linux not work,i use fedora 14 and i use same command in fedora 10,init 3 in fedora 10 work very good but in fedora 14 not work.
Please guide me.

Any error messages?

What exactly happens when you type init 3 at the console?

Hi.
When i enter this command some text appear and put green ok like :
XXXXXXXXXX [OK]

and not exit from X.It like,my system hanged and when i hit enter return to login.

Do the following and paste the output here:

touch /root/output
cd /etc/rc5.d/ && ls -l > /root/output

Then paste here what you see in /root/output file.
