how to import a database using mysql?

import from what? File, another DB,...?

i have exported a mysql database into a file how to import it?

If you exported your data, try

LOAD DATA INFILE 'file.txt' into table_name;

If you exported a db creation script, try

source 'file.sql'

both at the MySQL prompt of course.
