Question I need to know about two things.

1) Is there a program for Linux/ Fedora Core 1 that'll automatically untarr and open files that you'd normally use the command line to open for you without opening a command line? if so, please tell me.

2) Is there a website that allows you to download updates for fedora core 1? (Like Windows update, but for Fedora Core 1.) Yes, I know I can use yum and those other programs, but they aren't working for some reason, so I want to download the updates manually. Please tell me if there is.

Thanks,
Kevin
