I need help with Fedora Core 3 networking

Hi everyone. I'm currently running an installation of Fedora Core 3 with the minimal GUI (it's going to be a small webserver). I'm having problems with keeping a static IP address. I can set up a static Ip address and ping the rest of my network, however as soon as I reboot the system, all network settings are lost and it goes back to the 127.0.0.1 none assigned IP address. I have edited the ifcfg-eth0 file to look like this:

DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet
DHCP_HOSTNAME=webby
NETWORK=10.0.0.0
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
IPADDR=10.0.0.7

What am I doing wrong? It's driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance guys, sorry if it's really obvious but I'm a bit of a newbie with Linux.

Remove the DHCP_HOSTNAME line and give it a try.
