Last I checked, Canon was at the bottom of the list in terms of Linux support. There are various utilities for Epson--including one built into GIMP. I've never seen any for Canon.
I would always call or write the company, even if I knew that answer I was going to get. It is good for them to know that the demand is there.
You might also try the Linuxprinting site, and maybe something like Turboprint.

Hi !
I've googled a lot and at the end i've found an utility,CanonUtil, which is available ONLY as peocompiled for MANDRIVA !
And because i use this printer in Fedora this utility doesn't work for me..How can Anyone be so stupid to make a program only for a distro ? No tar ball ? No Rpm ?
No deb ?
Stupid people..
Following your suggestions i've sent an e-mail to canon assistance but,of course, they still haven't answered me..and i don't think they will any more..
Next time..Epson or Hp Printer !
Now i'm gonna check Turboprint and see how it goes..let's hope well !
The CanonUtil looks like it's available as a Java program - which should mean it's more or less platform independent, and it's available from here: http://xwtools.automatix.de/english/downloads.htm
There's also the option of having it as a C program (just below the Java version). What's more, searching for the RPM revealed there are some source RPMs (.src.rpm) which, unless I'm mistaken, contain the source code for the program. If you download one of those, and extract its contents, you should be able to build the program from that source yourself. See http://www.rpm.org/max-rpm/s1-rpm-mi...nia-srpms.html for more info.
