I lost "Run Program" in Windowmaker

I was adding things to the Application menu and accidentally dragged and removed the "Run Program" tool. Does anybody know what I can do to get it back? Step-by-step, please?

On a semi-related note, how can I add submenus to the Application menu? I would like one for Internet apps that I could tear off, but adding a submenu doesn't work. I can't attach apps to it.

Thanks,
Siri Amrit

OK use your favourite text editor to open ~/GNUstep/Library/Windowmaker/menu . When you scroll past the comments, you'll see the definition of your menu. There you can add the following item:
Code:
"Run program" SHEXEC %a(Run, Type the command to run: )
The clue is to use the %a() stuff instead of simply the name a program, as is the case with normal mentu items.
(It may also be possible to do this using the WPrefs or wmakerconf programs, by creating a new "Execute shell command" item and putting the %a(...) as the commmand.)

nukkel

Thank you, that worked. I put " %a(Run, type command to run " as the command.

I got the solution for the Submenu problem. For anyone interested, make a submenu, click to open the submenu, then drag "Run Program" over and stick it to "Submenu" that's extending out to the right of the main menu. Then type the name of the app like usual.

thanks, Dennisk.
