I'm Having DVD Ripper Problems

I'm using OpenSUSE 10.3 KDE. Ive been trying to rip a dvd without success. Ive tried K9Copy, DVD::Rip, and K3b.

k9copy: It rips to my selected folder using Xvid and container AVI. I like this program the best becuase of ease of use and power. The problem is that after its done with the ripping it does not show up in my /home/steve/xvids.

DVD::Rip: I fill out everything to the best of my knowledge and rip it to home/steve/xvids. A .rip appears in the folder but no avi like I selected. I dont like this ripper.

K3b: takes forever, selecting what titles i want sucks, and it always stops at 50 percent with an unspecified error.

Can someone tell me if they have had problems with K9Cpoy like mine, or what could be wrong with it? I really like this software. Any Suggestions on others i can try too? If i cant these too work ill need an alternative.

Have you configured k9copy's output directory? You can find it in the Settings -> DVD. For me it works fine under Fedora 8.

How to backup your DVDs (in dvd, xvid, mpeg-4, x264 formats) using k9copy
