How to show the internet IP

Hi there,

I am using squirrelmail 1.4.0 with the default settings, with Slack 9.0.

My maillog show the localhost(lookback) IP address, instead of the internet public address. How can I change it to show the incoming source IP address?

Jul 10 10:32:21 mercury imapd[5051]: Login user=manuel host=localhost [127.0.0.1]
Jul 10 10:32:22 mercury imapd[5051]: Logout user=manuel host=localhost [127.0.0.1]

Appreciate any suggestions.

www.whatismyipaddress.com if your on a lan and need to know your external address...
or type ifconfig to see your lan address

Go to: http://darkwireweb.com and on the side it says "Your IP:"
there ya go.

I think you are talking about the LAN address which is not my question. I know my public IP address.

What I would like to see is the incoming public IP address when I check my email from outside.

Appreciate any other suggestions.
