How to open gnome-terminal through code


Hello,

#include<iostream.h>
int main()
{
int a;
cin>>a;
cout<<a;
}

How to execute this code in a new terminal.
I tried
$ gnome-terminal a.out
but terminal exits immediately.
I am trying to emulate the anjuta ide(sourceforge.net)

Well, usually terminals (mostly running bash, Bourne Again SHell) don't execute C (or C++) code.

If you would describe better what you are trying to do we might be able to help you better .
