how to install vlc media player on centos 5

hi,
im new with centos but im a lil familiar with linux redhat ,today i decided to install vlc media player on centos but i do NT know how to do it.
any help appreciated!!

What are repositories...

I asked if you had configured the CentOS server addresses so that you can download the RPMs for packages not already installed or not on your installation media. Here is a list.

You need Rpmforge repo

If you want to install latest VLC, you can install this repo: http://atrpms.net/

I used this and installed VLC in my cent OS 6.3
