Just the openOffice source, then each user goes into the OpenOffice directory and runs the setup for a local install to run from the server.

Or do you mean "Open" Office server as in a server within the office space?

Cool

Try this:

Open a terminal on the server unpack your OO packages and cd into the directory:

Type:

setup -net

and hit enter. Follow the instructions to install the core program on the server. If you then share the folder it's in via NFS you can run setup again from the command line (without the net switch) from your clients and it'll install a 1.5 MB thin client front end on your client machine. Note: You will need to repeat the install on each account on your client machine(s) but it takes about 20 seconds so it's not too painful.

Any probs post back.

Cheers

Then get ooodi to simplify dictionary installation and update

Thanks a lot guys

I now have to upgrade my glibc version to 2.3 to run install, but it is a bit sensitive for a newbie.
