How to get GLIBCXX_3.4.21 on my machine when it's not in my repositories?

Folks,

I have a debugger for an embedded micro that is requesting GLIBCXX_3.4.21 to run. What's in my repositories is 3.4.20 and there are no plans to release 3.4.21 for my release of Mageia.

I assume you can download glibc form here:

https://www.gnu.org/software/libc/sources.html

Which I have done, but it says the latest version is 2.24, so I am now doubting I have the right thing.

Also, it seems that I will need to end up with something like libstdc++.so.6.0.21 as that is what is in Mageia 6 (which is the unstable version of Mageia at the moment - I am on the latest stable version which is Mageia 5.

So, if I do find the right source code and compiled it , would I end up with libstdc++.so.6.0.21?

Many thanks!

you have so much to learn about GLIBC. this question is not bad one. just a question that needs you to study what the GLIBC is ok.
not being mean. you want to run a newer glibc. then grab it and stuff it in your system. and watch stuff break. The whole GNU or none GNU running on your linux system is defined by the running GLIBC.
