Welcome to LQ. .. .

Which Linux ? http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question
And which software ? Please show a link and let us know,
the exact name of software.
May be it is commercial ? ( Pay before download.)
Or need to sign up first ?

Anyway, you will usually not need to download software
for Linux, say 11,000 ... 30,000 packages are available
in the 'Package Manager'.
..

This is the most uncritical and forgiving of forums, but we do need a troll filter.

Are you a Windows user, with no intent of even playing with Linux?

If so, you don't belong here. We are Linux users, so many of us can't help with Windows problems.
