How to configure KDM?

I've broke my KDM (I don't know how, I've installed only mandrake RPM package with new kernel 2.6.0). So I can't login into the KDE session using KDM, because only xterm runs (not KDE)! GDM and XDM are working OK. So I can run KDE, by logging in XDM, GDM (and even startx command), but not in KDM. It's little confusing for me because I don't know how to solve this problem.

My system is Mandrake 9.2

I'd suggest that you go into kcontrol,
find system -> login manager, and
play with those settings ...

If you like textfiles better, go to
/opt/kde/share/config/kdm
and have a play with kdmrc

Cheers,
Tink

I've used kcontrol and tried to correct this situation with login manager. Although I tried different settings it doesn't help. Here it comes my kdmrc file - maybe you can see what's wrong with it (broken config file maybe?):
