how to check if a cd is multisession ?


Hi

is there a command to obtain CD/dvd info about stored data

i need to know if archived cd/dvd are multisession

thanks in advance

You can use cdrdao with the disk-info command. Make sure the CD is not mounted before you run it, or you will get an error. For example:

$ cdrdao disk-info --device /dev/cdrom
You'll quite a bit of version and author cruft and then:
Code:
CD-RW                : no
Total Capacity       : n/a
CD-R medium          : n/a
Recording Speed      : n/a
CD-R empty           : no
Toc Type             : CD-DA or CD-ROM
Sessions             : 2
Last Track           : 11
Appendable           : no
