How to change the tranmission range on the NS2

Is there any way to change the transmission range on the NS2? I want to know how to do that on the wpan? I saw some pages which they say you should change the carrier sensing range and also reception range. But I am not sure about changing them or change the power ?

So change which one to transmit

Phy/WirelessPhy set RXThresh_ 4.4613e-10
Or this :

Phy/WirelessPhy set Pt_ 0.2818
