How to capture (camcorder) video?

I have Fedora Core 3 installed on a PC with TV Tuner card.
I can connect my camcorder to the TV Tuner card with a coaxial cable.

I would like convert my camcorder home movies to mpeg/avi video.

How can I capture the video feed from the Tuner card (from the camcorder) and save it as mpeg/avi video?

What utility do I use?

Any suggestions? Tips?

Hello,

use xawdecode to "watch" your camera signal... once you've got it, use the record option to encode it into mpeg/avi or what you want
