Question How to; Suse9.3 prof. text mode to graphical mode


Hi all,

I have installed Suse 9.3 pro. in text mode.
Now i want to switch to graphical mode. How can i do that?
Please guide

I will be greatful!!!!

Do you have the X server installed? Then type "startx" in the commandline.

In Suse, I think it's preferable to use: init 5

Modify your /etc/inittab

Default runlevel

id:3:initdefault

Change it to

id:5:initdefault to run in the Graphical Mode ..

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES.
I AM AT WORK NOW AND NOT USING MY PC SO IF WOULD APPRICIATE IF YOU PEOPLE POST SOME MORE REPLIES SO THAT I COULD TAKE A PRINT OUT AND TRY THEM ALL AND LET YOU PEOPLE KNOW WHICH ONE WORKED FOR ME.

Dont type with caps lock on. Capital letters give an impression that you're shouting.
