abefroman,

I am not going to ask.

If your priority is to produce a bootable USB drive (8GB or larger) for Windows Server 2012, then simply find somebody who has a W7 or W8 computer and follow these instructions:

https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/...ows-8-usb-key/

If you want to do this using Linux then..........???

If you want to boot the windows 2012 installer from a usb, read the instructions at the link below. I've used the instructions with 7 and 10 without problems.

So the OP asks for a Linux solution, and you give them a Windows program???? Doesn't sound like something a 'chief technical advisor' would do....unless, as I've speculated, your account is only to spam forums with your signature.

Tried that, it seemed to work, but I'm getting No OS found when I try to boot off it.

**THEORETICALLY** yes...however, yancek's solution will work. You can also try the winusb program (Ubuntu 12.04 and above).

Tried this a few times, on the 2nd to last step:
Code:
sudo grub-install --target=i386-pc --boot-directory="/media/<username>/<drive_label>/boot" /dev/sdX
It timesout or gives an error.
