Hello,

have I understood you right that you are trying to compile a kernel on a CDROM?????
--> A kernel must be built in a local, writeable folder.

Or are you looking for a module for your cdrom?
--> which kind of CDROM? IDE? SCSI? SATA?

Or do you have a problem how to mount your cdrom?
--> please post your fstab and try to mount the cdrom with the -v option.
