How do I install GIMP 2.10 on an antix 17.4.1 ? No Joss via Flatpack using UBUNTU commands

This is on an hp DV1000 Pavilion notebook with a fresh install of antix 17.4.1.

I tried using the UBUNTU version of the manual (terminal)
'Flatpack' GIMP 2.10 commands found via the gimp.org website.

GIMP 2.8 is installed and running fine.

Are you saying gimp-2.10 does not start? How are you trying this, what exactly is happening, is there some output you might want to share with us (try starting it from a terminal)?
How did you (attempt to) install it in the first place? all the steps please, incl. links, commands issued, output received.
