How can i unpack *.img with ext2 format in winodws os?


hi,all
i encountereded a problem recently.i often unpack some compressed file to floppy disk, but i found a ext2 format package.so how can i unpack *.img with ext2 format in winodws os? else tools? such as zip、rar tools?

i never heard of tools reading ext2 file system in windows. put the files on a linux box and save them on a floppy formatted as fat32 with windows...
ext2 is the format of the floppy, not a compressed archive or similar

Reading ext2 in Windows is not a problem, but I completely fail to understand what the OP is asking. What is an "ext2 format package" Usually .img files are images of filesystems, for instance you can download an image of a boot disk to install Linux.

sorry,my description has an error,it should be the floppy of ext2 file system,i hope to extract the content of ext2 file system to my hard disk.

and the img usually is ext2 file system and the size is 1.44M,therefore i want to extract it to virtual floppy drive ,cuz i have no really floppy drive.

If it's an image of a floppy it's probably a FAT filesystem. Ext2 is kind of wasteful to use on a floppy. I think you are looking for something like VFD
