host command is gone

I recently reinstalled Slackware and did it the hard way. I thought that I should go through every package and remove those that I didn't need.

One problem though, I seem to have removed the "host"-command. I tried downloading and installing the one from The Host Project but that one gave me a lot of errors when I tried to compile it with make

Code:
cc -static -W -Wall -Wid-clash-30 -o host main.o info.o list.o addr.o geth.o util.o misc.o test.o file.o send.o vers.o
info.o(.text+0x3c1): In function `get_info':

info.o(.text+0x403):/usr/local/source/host-20040812/info.c:318: undefined reference to `__res_send'
info.o(.text+0xb3a): In function `print_rrec':

...and a lot more...

list.o(.text+0x3538):/usr/local/source/host-20040812/list.c:2396: undefined reference to `__ns_get32'
list.o(.text+0x3548):/usr/local/source/host-20040812/list.c:2398: undefined reference to `__ns_get32'

list.o(.text+0x3568):/usr/local/source/host-20040812/list.c:2402: undefined reference to `__ns_get32'
util.o(.text+0x1f2b): In function `expand_name':

file.o(.text+0x541): In function `cache_read_anslen':
/usr/local/source/host-20040812/file.c:323: undefined reference to `__ns_get16'

send.o(.text+0x36c): In function `host_res_read_anslen':
/usr/local/source/host-20040812/send.c:745: undefined reference to `__ns_get16'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [host] Error 1
So it seems that I can't get the "host" command back. I thought that "host" maby would be within another package (like when "pico" disappeared when I removed "pine").

Does anyone know how to get host back or at least know which package it comes in when I install? It would take a lot of time using full installation and remove one package at a time, having to reinstall alot. :P

The "host" command is a member of the bind-utils package. Try reinstalling that.

Thanks, seems your right. But one problem: I can't find bind-utils. I can only find RPM-packages and I do not have rpm. What to do?
