I run a redhat enterprise v4 server at work where about 30 people have access. I would like to setup the system so if individual users run "ps" they are not able to view the processes of the other users. I know I have seen this on shells before where I am only able to view my own processes unless I am root.
I've done some research and know that changing the kernel to a grsec one could do the job, but I'd rather not stray from redhat supported/updated kernel.
Another thought is that I could modify aliases and stuff but since I share this box with some people that are decent with linux I would prefer to make a modification on the root level that is not possible to bypass.
Any thoughts on the best way to accomplish this?
