Help with Gtrace installation

Hello I 'm a linux newbie and I'm trying to install GTrace on my RED HAT 9 machine. I downloaded swing1_1_1.tar.Z and jdk118_v3-glibc-2.1.3.tar.baz2 and unzipped the file to the correct diretory. Then I got the GTrace-v1.0.0Beta.tar.gz and db-2.7.7.tar.gz and followed the install guide on the caida web site. But when I try to run the GTrace it returns a message "Can't find class caida.Gtrace.GTrace" . How can I fix that? Has anyone had the same trouble? Thank you, I appriciate your time reading this thread and help.
